Scheduling Games, Community

Managing schedules is done by a Sports Organization Administrator. The Organization's structure must be entered under the League/Season tab before a schedule can be entered.

To enter or edit game schedules:

First, log in or go to your Dashboard. Then, in the My Sports Organizations and Teams box, mouse-over the name of the Organization and select "Schedule a game".

Next, on the Schedule tab click Add Game and follow these steps.

Step 1...Enter the Date & Time

Step 2...Select a Sport

Step 3...Select a Season, if needed

Step 4...Select the Teams

Step 5...Select or Add New Opponent, if needed

Step 6...Select the Home Team

Step 7...Select or enter the Location

Step 8...Click Add New Game

Step 9...Repeat as needed

Step 10...Review Your Schedule

Step 11...Click Close

Let your teams know their schedules are available on their calendar by clicking the Send Email Notice button on the Schedule tab.

Golf results can be entered by Sports Organization and Team Administrators. To get started, click on the Golf Course tab, then follow these steps.

Step 1...click Add Golfer

Step 2...search for player or click Add New Player

Step 3...review your Player List

Step 4...add Event

Step 6...enter Golf Results (date specific)

Step 7...select a season

Step 8...select a date

Today’s economic times call for creative ways to support youth and recreational sports. With the CommunitySportsDesk there is an easier way. Now you can let the community know what is happening with your group in a place where everyone can go.

Team Administrator Roles

Team Administrators

The Team Administrator is assigned by the Sports Organization Administrator. The Team Administrator can assign the following roles from their Media Center/Dashboard.

Press Box Reporter: Can access the Game Wizard to report game results, add and approve photos from fans or the Photographer and access the Clipboard/Messaging Center. Can approve comments and tags.

Lead Photographer: Add photos to games and approve photos from fans or the Photographer.

Photographer: Add photos to games. The a Lead Photographer or higher level of admin must approve the photos before they appear on the site.

Statistician: Can access the Stats area in the Game Wizard. The Stats tab is only available for Report Level 3 or higher.

Scheduler: (Travel Teams only): Can manage the team schedule.

Communications Manager: Can access the Clipboard/Messaging Center and send out messages via email or text message to Administrators, Coaches and Players on the team.

* If your schedule has NOT been entered, contact your Sports Organization Administrator or e-mail a game schedule to: support@communitysportsdesk.com.

Game Wizard Instructions: Entering a Game Score, Write-up, Player Highlights, etc after a scheduled game.

First, log in or go to your Dashboard. In the My Sports Organizations and Teams box mouseover the team name and select Enter Game Results.

Next, on the Games tab, select a game from the drop-down menu.

Step 1....Game Score
Enter your game score here. By entering your game score a headline will be auto generated. Click Save and Continue.

Step 2...Players
All players on the roster are automatically selected. Uncheck any player who didn't participate in the game. Also, select the top two players. These two players will be used to create the Lead Sentence. Click Continue.

Step 3...Game Write-up
Share your thoughts and details on the game. Positive reinforcement will pay off in this section. When finished click Save and Continue.

Step 4...Player Stats (if available)
Enter your player statistics using the tabs at the top. Proceed to complete each statistic tab for the players you wish to highlight. Selecting the checkboxes will highlight each player's statistics for this game. Player highlights will then appear as part of your game summary. When finished click Save and Continue.

Step 5....Photos
Put some extra action in your game summaries and compete for 'front page' position. Upload a photo or choose one that's available and check the box(es) to attach it in the game. Click Save and Continue.

Step 6...Recap
Review your game score with the auto generated headline, lead sentence and player highlight(s). Congratulations you have successfully completed entering another game result!

You will find your game posted in the Highlights box under the Most Recent category.

Sending a message to a League or Team is done by a Sports Organization Administrator or a Team Administrator. In order to send an email or a text message, participants must have a valid email setup and must have enter a cell phone number and agreed to receive text messages.

To use the Clipboard Messaging System:

First, log in or go to your Dashboard. Then, in the My Sports Organizations and Teams box, mouse-over the name of the Organization or the name of the Team and select "Send League/Team Message".

Next, on the Clipboard tab click the Add New button and follow these steps.

Step 1...Select a Sport, if needed.

Step 2...Select a Team, if needed.

Step 3...Select the posting options: Post to the web site, send as an e-mail and/or send as a text message (SMS).

Post to web site (Clipboard tab) ONLY: fill in all required fields (required fields are indicated with a red asterisk*).

Photo Upload Instructions

Put some extra action into your team pages!

To get started follow the Steps below.

Step 1...click the Photos Tab

Step 2...click on Camera Icon

Step 3...Search a league or team

Step 4...select Sport

Step 5...click the "Choose File" button to find the photo you wish to upload.
Note: Depending on your internet connection speed and photo size, uploading times may range from a few seconds to a few minutes. Photos may be selected to appear in print, however a 1 mb (1600x1200 pixel) jpg minimum size is required.

Step 6..enter Caption for the photo

Step 7...Log in or enter your Date of Birth

Step 8...check...I agree to Terms of Use

Step 9...click Save

Step 10...enter a caption for the photo

Step 11...enter your date of birth

Step 12...check "I agree to Terms of Use" and click "Save"

Step 13...click OK

Photo upload gives you recognition for submission of your photo. If you would like recognition for your photo submission follow the steps below.

Step 14...click YES

Step 15...select a display type for your name to appear for your photo submission.

Step 16....click Submit

If you do not wish to have recognition for submission of your photo, click CANCEL.

Your photo will be queued for approval by a Sports Organization or Team Aministrator before it is displayed.
